Grand Casino Arena, formerly known as Xcel Energy Center, is a multi-purpose venue in downtown Saint Paul and the home of the NHL's Minnesota Wild. The arena's hockey configuration accommodates approximately 18,064 fans. Its location near downtown restaurants and transit makes it convenient to plan a full game-day visit.
For hockey, the 100-level Lower Bowl puts fans close to the ice and offers an immersive view of the action. Center sections 105–115 are identified as strong choices for following play from both ends of the rink. The 200-level Club Level offers premium seating and access to club amenities, while the 300-level provides elevated, panoramic views of the arena.
Parking is available in the arena's on-site ramps and nearby downtown facilities. Event rates are estimates and can vary; consider checking current availability before setting out.
The Metro Green Line and rideshare drop-off near the main entrance on Kellogg Boulevard are alternatives to driving. Arriving early can help reduce the stress of downtown event traffic and parking.
